A memorial service for Frederick
Douglas McMullen, 60, of
Enid, OK was held at 2 p.m.
Friday 10/26/2007 at New Hope United Methodist Church. The Rev.
Sheila Combs-Francis officiated.
Fred was born March 24, 1947, in
Greenfield, Ohio, to Hamilton
“Ham” Douglas and Clara Joanne Berger McMullen and died
Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007.
Fred attended the McClain schools in Greenfield, OH graduating
in 1965. He also held a bachelor’s degree in Psychology
from Webster University and a master’s degree in Organizational
Psychology from the University of Maryland. He was a
retired Air Force veteran, having served during the Vietnam War.
He married Sheryl Jean Nolting Sept. 29, 2000, in Altus, OK.
He was vice president of Enid
Lion’s Club, Commander of
Chapter
66 Disabled American Veterans, and was a member of
the
Order of the Trench Rats,
Vietnam Veterans of America
Chapter 940, New Hope United Methodist Church,
Bass Club of Enid
and the
National Association of Uniform Services.
Surviving are his wife,
Sheryl; son,
Frederick Douglas McMullen
II; two stepsons, Brian Munkres and Jim Munkres; two brothers,
James McMullen and
John McMullen; two sisters,
Shirley
Jackson
and
Connie Brunner Speakman; and four grandchildren.
